We at Great Northern first started designing full compound dovetail jigs in the mid 90s. In 1998 we started selling Dovetailor jigs to the public. We now stock 4 standard size jigs to use on rough sawn log timbers, 6x8, 6x10, 8x10 and 8x12. We also can make full compound jigs for any size or type log that has a flat interior wall. The Dovetailor consist of two steel plates, one exterior and one interior attached together with all thread and wing nuts. You slide the jig onto your log, tighten the wing nuts. The chainsaw has a modified saw bar with guide shoes installed. The guide shoes lock onto guide tracks and ride them to the stops. Great Northern has sold over 200 jigs and have satisfied customers all over the world. We are located in the Bitterroot Valley of western Montana. Feel free to give us a call anytime.
